Central Piedmont Foundation / Institutional Advancement
Established in 1965, the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation raises philanthropic support to advance the mission of Central Piedmont Community College. The college’s Institutional Advancement team works with private foundations, individuals, and corporate donors to support the college's strategic priorities.
Central Piedmont’s Annual Campaign addresses the college's critical funding needs. Aligned with our strategic plan, it directly supports student success, academic excellence, innovation, and organizational culture. While the college receives state and county funding, philanthropy is essential to bridging the gap. Philanthropic support can fund student scholarships, emergency hardships, innovative program development, and faculty and staff development. Contributions positively impact students, employees, and the entire community.
For two decades, the Central Piedmont Sporting Clays Classic, an annual fundraising event, has generated financial support and visibility for the college's first responder and U.S. military veteran programs. Institutional Advancement staff also provide opportunities for college alumni to engage with and support their alma mater. Employees of Central Piedmont advance the mission of the college through their work each day as well as through annual gifts to the Employee Giving Campaign.
The Foundation accepts gifts of cash or securities, bequests, estate plans, honorariums, and memorial donations made payable to the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation, Inc. Contributions may be given outright or through a pledge extended over a period of time. Unrestricted gifts are encouraged as they allow leadership to be strategic, innovative, responsive, and flexible in addressing the needs of the college. All prospective donors and gifts to the college should be directed to the Central Piedmont Community College Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization qualified to cultivate, solicit, and steward tax-deductible contributions.
