Academic Learning Center (ALC)
The Ruth G. Shaw Academic Learning Center (ALC) is committed to student success. The ALC provides academic support to Central Piedmont students enrolled in curriculum courses in the areas of: Math, Science, Writing, and Study Skills.
Our staff assists in developing skills and strategies to improve student learning. We offer high quality one-to-one and virtual tutoring sessions by appointment, as well as, conduct a wide variety of subject specific and study skills workshops.
The ALC is located on Central Piedmont's Central Campus in the new Student Success Center in Room 2130.
Tutoring Services are also available at the following area campuses:
- Cato Campus at WT Harris Boulevard and Grier Road
- Levine Campus in Matthews
- Merancas Campus in Huntersville
- Harper Campus in Southwest Charlotte
