Career Services

Career Services helps with career decision-making, job search, and employer connections. The following services are provided:

Career Counseling: Currently enrolled students can meet with a career counselor for help with career and major decisions.  Career assessments and other online resources are often used to help students explore career options.
Online Career Information: The comprehensive Career Services Web page includes online presentations, links to a wide array of career resources, and a career guide written by Central Piedmont career counselors.  Career Coach helps individuals explore programs and learn about job opportunities, salaries, and outlooks in the Charlotte region.
Online Job Postings: Employers list job opportunities for students and alumni on the online student job board. Students and alumni may view current openings by logging in to the board on the Career Services website.
Resume Assistance: Students may upload their resumes to the online student job board for feedback. Students may also schedule an appointment with a career counselor. Find advice about how to get started on the online Career Guide.
Job Search and Interviewing: Access the online interviewing software. Career counselors are also available to discuss job search strategy, branding, networking and interviewing, including conducting practice interviews.
Hiring Events: Companies often contact Career Services to recruit students and graduates. Career Services partners on several hiring events during the year, and typically a career fair is held each spring. Log in to the online student job board on the Career Services website for a full calendar of events.

Career Services are available in person on all campuses. To make an appointment, contact Career Services through the Career Services Web page, call 704.330.6551, or email career.services@cpcc.edu.
