AGI 7005. Generations in the Workplace: Leveraging Age Diversity. 0.0 Hours. Class-440.0. Clinical-0.0. Lab-0.0. Work-0.0

Age diversity is a central theme in today's evolving workplace. With four generations working together tensions may be inevitable. Yet are different age groups really that different? Or does the human tendency to generalize paint a distorted picture of generations, as it once did of genders or ethnic groups? Learn to understand the differences in today's workplace.

DDI 8015. Navigating Beyond Conflict. 0.0 Hours. Class-440.0. Clinical-0.0. Lab-0.0. Work-0.0

Conflict prevents people from getting along to the best of their ability and in turn, reaching individual and collective goals. So often, we do not understand where the other person is coming from and it creates unnecessary tensions because we haven't been given the tools to handle what can be a very uncomfortable and unproductive ongoing situation. Individuals need to know how to effectively navigate beyond conflict to prevent damage from occurring. Students learn how to recognize the warning signs of conflict and take action to prevent situations from escalating or to work out the conflict if it does escalate. This allows them to mitigate any negative impact, thus reducing the cost of conflict and improving business results.

DDI 8020. Communicating with Impact. 0.0 Hours. Class-440.0. Clinical-0.0. Lab-0.0. Work-0.0

Effective communication is critical in building and maintaining personal and professional relationships yet even the most well-meaning individuals struggle with this skill and perception is our reality. When we are more confident in our communication style and delivery, we are often more respected and the message may be better received. Many organizations focus on technical skills as all-important to success in the workplace, yet strong interpersonal skills are equally essential in transforming individual contributors into exceptional performers who have a greater impact in their roles. This course provides individuals with a powerful set of interaction skills that enables them to communicate more effectively with colleagues and customers and, in the process, build trust, strengthen partnerships and achieve desired results.
