CPCC is an exceptional institution which is recognized nationally for its commitment to student success, workforce development and innovative practices. In 1963, Central Piedmont Community College was established as one of the first of the 58 colleges in the NC Community College System. At that time, the college had 23 degree and diploma programs. Today, there are more than 300 degree, diploma and certificate programs, a comprehensive literacy program and an extensive variety of corporate and continuing education offerings which are offered at six campus locations and through online courses.
